Baruch Senior Ministries, a faith-based, nonprofit organization, is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to be a Full-Time Life Enrichment Director at Fountain View Assisted Living in Lowell, MI.  Fountain View offers assisted living and specialized care in a home-like environment with a range of care covering minimal assistance to care for the frail elderly. 

As the Life Enrichment Director you are responsible for planning, implementing, scope, and emphasis of life enrichment programs to encourage and stimulate residents’ physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.  You will produce and distribute the monthly community newsletter and activities calendar.  You may be asked to plan and assist in research projects.  You are responsible for the volunteer program.

Qualified Candidates will possess: 

  • A passion for developing and promoting programming that enhances each resident’s quality of life. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred. 
  • An Activity Director, or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification is preferred.    
  • Three years’ experience developing life enrichment programs and conducting activities for residents in a long-term care setting OR a combination of education and experience 
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in word, outlook, and other software programs used by Baruch. 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
