Deb Smith
Administrator

Deb joined the Bishop Hills team in 2022 as the Administrator. She has been in the healthcare field for 30 years in a variety of roles including nursing home administrator. Deb has two sons, one of which lives in Colorado and has blessed her with two granddaughters. In her spare time, Deb loves to crochet and read, as well as spend time with her mother who recently moved from NorthCarolina to Rockford, MI.

Julie Rick
Associate Administrator

Julie joined the Bishop Hills’ team in September 2014. Her career started as a Grand Valley State University graduate social work intern at Georgetown and Cambridge Manors in 1998. She earned her Master’s in social work in 1999 and accepted the Director of Resident Care position in January 2000. After six years at Georgetown and Cambridge Manors, Julie joined two other Baruch Senior Ministries homes working as an Administrator and Associate Administrator. The opportunity to join the Bishop Hills team was a wonderful opportunity to work and serve in the community she and her family live in. It is such a blessing to her to see the Rockford community support and participate in the daily lives of Bishop Hill’s residents. Julie and her husband moved to Rockford in 1999. They have one son who attends Rockford Public schools. Julie keeps busy volunteering in his school and attending his sports events. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
