My in-laws lived there for two years and received amazing care. It is a small family centered facility. We were able to visit anytime and hold family gatherings. The staff is extremely caring and helpful. We did receive outside care from visiting healthcare workers and hospice during times of additional care. I highly recommend Stonecrest.
Our experience with Stonecrest Assisted Living was profoundly and memorably positive. The facilities, the staff, and the inclusive and the friendly environment combine to make it a truly special place. Our mother and father came to Stonecrest on short notice, when due to an injury to Dad it suddenly became impossible for them to stay at home. They were hesitant to leave the home they loved, but from the moment they arrived the team at Stonecrest staff went all out to make sure they knew it was their NEW home. Mom and Dad had different abilities and needs, but the team worked with them, outside health care professionals, and the family to make sure they were getting proper care. The facility is just beautiful, surrounded by woods and with a lovely view of the river. Regular events and social occasions provided opportunities for them to get out of their room and feel included. The meals were healthy and kitchen staff were always happy to honor special requests. There are special events that included the whole facility and families; the Christmas party was always excellent. When family came to visit, the aides and management always came to say hello and provide updates on care issues and any other concerns. Staff would often come in just to meet with us, even if they were not working that day. I’m sure Stonecrest staff and management were dealing with their own challenges around (staff turnover, resident deaths, maintenance) but they were never less than professional and caring.
Mom passed in 2018, and Dad in 2020. These last years were difficult, with lots of frustration and health challenges, but the team at Stonecrest were there for them and the family even when the stress levels were high. Several staff attended their funerals, which meant a lot to us. We would give Stonecrest our highest recommendation.
My mom was at Stone Crest for 4 years. We were happy with her care, and SHE was happy there, waving and smiling at Staff and residents throughout the day. When we had concerns/questions about things, the Staff would listen and address those issues with us. Please remember, this is an assisted living facility and NOT a nursing home. It felt and looked more like a home, and Staff was very friendly. The patience of the workers was amazing, and the care genuine. I recommend Stone Crest without hesitation!
